COURSE DETAILS:
Coaching is rapidly becoming the quickest and most effective method of developing excellence in workers as they are more than ever expected to be multi-skilled, trained to embrace changes and adapt to the ever-changing marketplace. Good coaching leads to self-motivation and an attitude that is oriented towards solutions and continual improvement rather than problems and avoidance.
This workshop will address:
- The role of coaching
- A coaching process to increase learning transfer and performance
- Rapport with coachees
- Effective questions in a coaching situation
- Problem-solving approaches and related techniques to help coachees overcome obstacles
- Practical sessions involving coaching in workplace scenarios
- Effective communication strategies (active listening, questioning and feedback techniques) for better performance
Upon successful completion of the workshop, the participant will be able to:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the concepts and principles of coaching which you can apply in your daily operations
- Apply techniques to unlock employee potential and maximize performance
- Engage in coaching conversations that really work at the workplace
- Implement practical, results-focused personal action plans for team members
- Prepare, deliver and review coaching sessions so that they continually improve
- Recognize and adapt to individual and situational differences
This workshop is part of a series of 10 workshops offered by NCDA & BCIT. Successful completion of 8 of 10 workshops results in a Statement of Completion Award.
