For decades, B.C.’s New Car Dealers have championed their annual fundraising auction to create life-changing opportunities for Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities and automotive industry grants and scholarships. Now in its 35th year, this vital fundraiser has a head-turning new look as the Auction for Athletes.

While the online auction has a fresh coat of paint, under the hood is the same high-performance engine that’s made a difference for decades by supporting Special Olympics BC and the New Car Dealers Foundation of BC.

Today, the Auction for Athletes matters more than ever. Special Olympics BC volunteers, athletes, and supporters around the province are currently working hard to reopen their in-person programs, with strong SOBC safety protocols in place. But we’re only a quarter of the way back to our usual capacity to change lives.

The pandemic has had a long-lasting, far-reaching impact on athletes with intellectual disabilities, who were already far too familiar with the pain of isolation, and on Special Olympics BC. More than ever, we need your support to rebuild all of our year-round, in-person sport programs that create empowering connections, open hearts and minds to inclusion, and break down barriers.
