Automotive Business School comes to Vancouver this Fall!

The Automotive Dealership Management (AUDM) program at Georgian College, is designed as a management training program for Canadian Dealership Employees. It is considered a part-time program and there are 7 mandatory courses for program completion. It is typically delivered within 12 - 14 months. The admission requirements demand either a completed Canadian post-secondary diploma/degree OR a minimum of three to five years? experience in the Canadian automotive industry (along with a Letter of Recommendation from their Canadian automotive employer and a Letter of Intent written by the candidate). If an applicant does not have post-secondary education, then they will need to submit the Letter of Intent, Resume and Letter of Recommendation from the employer. The curriculum is strongly integrated into the existing Canadian automotive market and the industry is heavily regulated by the Canadian Laws & Ethics. Students need access to their dealership's financial statements as well.

Effective for this September, all AUDM courses will revert back to its traditional (in-person) delivery. Therefore, courses will return to being 7 weeks in length, online with a mandatory 3-day in-class portion. The 3-day on-site will be held consecutively during 1 designated week. Classes are from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM and the on-site will be held at a venue at the cohort location. Students are expected to spend 18 hours in-class and approx. 3 - 5 hours online per week. The weekly online portions are self-paced, but there will be learning activities assigned

The on-sites are mandatory to attend in-person. Exact details for the venue locations will be provided to successful applicants.

There may be grant funding available to employers. I have found some information here regarding the B.C. Employer Training Grant: WorkBC - Employer Resources
